We’ve produced over 1,000,000 part numbers over the last ten years.

Over the last ten years, Conax has manufactured over 450,000 temperature sensor part numbers and over 700,000 compression seal fitting part numbers, many of which could be ordered directly from our catalogs.  Imagine how many we have made over our entire 60 year history!  We are quite certain that puts us in a class of our own relative to the diversity of experience that we can bring to your company.

Only 0.2% of our products were returned in 2010 for a handful of reasons.  One of our largest customers has ordered over 30,000 sensors over the years – only 5 have been returned (the screws were loose and we tightened and sent back).  We know how to make high quality products.

We understand the demands of customers who require only one item as well as those customers who require thousands of items.  And our state-of-the-art 45,000 square foot lean assembly line and machine shop has been designed to do this without special scheduling.  No matter what size of the order, we can make it.  Because the world works that way, so do we.

240 wires? 30,000 psi (2067 bars)? We have sealing solutions.

Our compression seal fittings use our exclusive ‘soft sealant’ technologies that can be designed to seal pressures ranging from vacuum up to 30,000 psi (2067 bars) involving temperatures ranging from -400°F to 3000°F ( -240°C to +1650°C). Replaceable sealants permit repeated use of stainless steel fittings for easy installation and service in the field. When high density feedthroughs are required, our MHM feedthroughs fit the bill in sealing up to 240 conductors or 120 thermocouple pairs.

4200°F? 2300°C? No sweat.

Our high temperature thermocouples are specifically designed for durability and reliability in high temperature applications to 4200°F (2315°C). Such applications generally involve oxidizing, reducing or inert gas environments that challenge the life of the thermocouple. We bring more than 60 years of experience in temperature sensor design to maximize the life and reliability of thermocouples in these environments.
