In a recent article published by Solid State Technology, the electronics manufacturing website warns that there will be less silicon wafers available in 2018.
Perhaps most interesting, suppliers have withdrawn approximately 25% of the peak capacity for 200mm wafers. Of those left, approximately 65% is used for epitaxial (epi) wafers.
