More than $2 billion in scheduled maintenance projects kicked off this month, much of which is attributed to the Power Generation Industry, according to Industrial Info. Almost half of the $2 billion in maintenance projects is being used for tune-ups of major chemical-processing and nuclear power facilities across the Gulf Coast and Southern U.S.

Some of these major projects include turnarounds from Southern Company, Duke Energy Company and Nucor Corporation.

This maintenance and investment signifies exciting times for the Power Gen industry, as it continues to grow in the U.S. and globally.
