Challenge: A customer needed to power heating elements in a high vacuum PV thin film coating process chamber. In order to prevent deposition from coating and shorting the electrode to the process chamber, high temperature was required.
Solution: Conax custom engineered a standard high temperature flanged compression seal fitting (sealing gland) with alumina insulators and an electrode that was the precise length needed. An alumina extension insulator was also supplied as part of the assembly.
Impact: The insulated seal fittings are ideally suited to the high-temperature environment and the customized electrode size prevents deposition damage.
