Conax provided Hazardous Location seal fittings for simple installation on valve actuators.

Challenge: For assemblies that are installed on offshore oil and gas rigs, a manufacturer’s rep was installing conduit fittings and filling them with epoxy (e.g Chico fittings). The customer needed a true pressure boundary which was easily and quickly installed and also had a recognized hazardous area approval.
Solution: Conax Hazardous Location (HL) seal fittings (sealing glands) were provided to the manufacturer’s rep for installation on a valve actuator. The complete assembly was then sold to valve manufacturers.
Impact: With the addition of the HL seal fitting, the manufacturer’s rep now has a better product to offer.
