Conax Technologies has designed an innovative approach to exhaust gas temperature (EGT) sensors used on FT8/GG8 frame turbines. Used as a direct replacement for existing equipment, our EGT meets or exceeds OEM functionality and has proven to be highly reliable through field testing and validation.
The key enhancement of the Conax design is the use of two dual thermocouple probes rather than the OEM version that utilizes four single thermocouple probes.
Superior accuracy and reliability
Conax employs unique manufacturing techniques to create balanced-loop resistance between all thermocouples. The result is a more robust and reliable design that offers the same two-circuit, four-point averaging temperature measurements as an OEM sensor – but with superior accuracy and reliability.
Another key feature is the four-post connector, which was designed with interchangeability and long service life in mind.
Our EGT is interchangeable with all OEM four-post sensors and is adaptable to in-service cable harnesses. The connector is robustly designed, hermetically sealed and uses high-quality materials contributing to a long service life.
